I got this for my husband as he needed something to use while driving so that he can be hands- free and while at work as he's a dishwasher and regular earphones tend to get in the way while he's working also he wouldn't be bugged by his boss about keeping one earphone out as it's just one earpiece. So I figured that this would be good as it's small and compact but still works for everything he needed it for so a win for us all right?. He has a Samsung S5 so that's what we tested it on and what this review is based on but I'm sure it works for any Android or Apple phone as it states it is compatible for those devices.
What comes in the box is the Earpiece, Ear Hook, 2 Ear Tips,
Micro USB Cable 75cm and Operating Instructions.
This headset was fairly easy to use and connected to my phone with ease, You literally just switch the dedicated on - off switch to on and hold down the multi- function button until the lights cycle through from white to red you will also hear "pairing" come from the device itself. Then you just search for the device from your phone it will come up as " H922BT" you just select that on your phone and it will pair quickly. This device is really slim and lightweight which I like it doesn't feel too bulky on your ear which means you can wear it for extended periods of time without it becoming irritating. I found the device to be comfortable as is but for a more secure fit you can attach the ear hook so that you don't have to worry about the earpiece falling out of your ear.
This device is rechargeable with a standard micro USB which is included in the package. I really like devices that use micro USB as a lot of things are using that type of cable lately it means that I have a lot of them around and I can use one plug for many devices which is great for me as I don't like to leave many cables lying around as my precious dog Roxie tends to want to snack on them when I do that. The device came charged and was fully charged within an hour or 2 so it doesn't take long to charge. As far as the battery life it lasted my husband throughout the work day whenever he was just using it for calls. Constant use for music drains the battery so when he needs to use it for music at work he tends to have to charge it a bit on his lunch break.
The sound quality for calls is great on this device, really crystal clear sound people had no problems hearing us, and we had no problems hearing them. The range on the device is about 30 feet which is nice if you are working on a tablet or don't want to be carrying your phone around with you. I didn't really find a need to use this feature much as most often the phone was in my pocket. But I did test the range out for the purpose of this review and found that if you were in a big open room there was no problems or interference but if you went around corners or into another room where walls are between you and your phone you end up with some disconnection issues. As far as the music goes I found it to be quieter so you couldn't hear it as well if you were in a loud area. I also didn't really like the fact that it was just one ear for music it felt weird to me. So I mostly just used it for calls.
Overall I found this device to be a great quality and very affordable, It works great and is even better then advertised. I would recommend this to everyone and I would definitely buy it again.
